The Challenge

Commercial buildings with catering facilities waste significant energy on ventilation. Traditional systems run at constant speed regardless of cooking activity. Companies needed technology with short payback periods that worked with existing equipment.

The Solution

Cheetah was installed across four commercial sites. It integrated with existing fans, drives and BMS systems. The system adjusts fan speeds based on cooking activity. Full power during busy periods, reduced speeds when quieter and minimum when no cooking happens. This cuts wasted energy while maintaining proper ventilation.

The Results

Average per site: 33,100 kWh saved annually, 7.4 tonnes CO₂ reduced, £8,200 saved. 60% fan energy reduction. 1-year payback.

Total across four sites: 132,700 kWh, £33,190, and 29.8 tonnes CO₂ saved annually. Short payback with no major system overhauls needed.
