As April is upon us, we wanted to take a brief pause to reflect on what has been an unexpectedly full-on start to 2021! From both staff and company announcements to continuing with those exciting virtual events, we’re so pleased we can continue doing what we do best to help those in the industry.
With some promising signs of normality coming very soon, we’re even more excited about what the rest of the year will look like for Quintex. Here’s just a snippet of what we’ve been up to in the first few months of the year:
The UK government’s Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy revamped and improved their website, making it easier for users to search for independently verified product and purchasing data. With news of this revamp, we were delighted to have once again qualified as an approved technology on the Government’s approved Energy Technology list, meaning people can rest assured when investing in sustainability!
We were delighted to announce our membership with the FCSI in February! Quintex sees the value in being part of FCSI as it strengthens the link and unites professionals working within the foodservice industry. The core of FCSI is to promote professionalism in foodservice and hospitality consulting, and we are thrilled to join them, and the other 1000+ members across the world.
This year’s ENSE Spring Conference took place between the 23-25th of March. The team spent time in front of the computer screen once again as we strengthened relationships virtually, discussed all things Quintex and heard the latest news from the industry. It was great to see some familiar faces on screen!
We celebrated World Energy Efficiency Day and raised awareness of the rational use of energy. Energy efficiency does in no way mean that we need to compromise on how we run our kitchens and businesses. Instead, it encourages us to rethink how much energy we use and how we use it, working towards new ways of optimising this usage to save money and the planet. (You can read more in our blog post!)
Last week, we also celebrated World Water Day, a day about what water means to people and how we can better protect this vital resource! It was the perfect time to talk about our Biofix solution, which helps to eliminate FOGs and food particles, and creates safer, cleaner water in our drains.
