The Quintex Staff Spotlight continues, and this month, we’d like to introduce you to Chris Stevens who is our Client and Partnerships Manager! Chris has a very important role within the company and he’s an integral part of the team.

How long have you worked at Quintex?

2 years.

What are you required to do in your role and why is your role so important in the company?

I look after the new inbound sales enquiries as well and look after several of our current key accounts on a day to day basis. My role also includes liaising with contractors, designers and direct to site whether that’s pubs, restaurants, hotels, or commercial properties.

What does a normal day look like for you?

If the weather’s nice, I sometimes ride my bicycle to work, so I try and start the day off getting some fresh air in my lungs and the blood pumping! Most days I like to get in early and get a head start, have breakfast and a coffee, catch up on the latest industry news, etc. Then it’s answering emails and getting on the phone to our respective clients and new opportunities.

Greatest achievement or most interesting project worked on whilst at Quintex?

The most interesting project I have worked on to date is a large hotel group in London, with some enormous properties in the centre of London. We conducted full site surveys to include Cheetah in their new HVAC operation in the bid to save money on energy. It was very interesting seeing behind the scenes of some of these worldwide brands where I have stayed and dined out in at points in my life.

Perks/favourite part of the job:

The difference between a good day and a great day is if I am able to have a conversation with someone where I’ve been able to report back from a survey the fantastic energy savings that are available to them when implementing Cheetah into their operation. I must also mention that it also helps working with likeminded people that all have a brilliant energy (even in the post lunch lull). And of course, a good bit of banter throughout the day.

A fun fact someone may not know about you?

I worked in the kitchen at The Ritz London, for a full day shift on work experience when I was 15 years old, let’s just say they worked me to the bone, and they got their money’s worth! Exhausting work but very interesting nonetheless! Keep your eyes peeled next month and see who will be under the spotlight!

A bit about you (hobbies, what you do out of work, etc.)

I am a keen sports fan from following my football team, Sunderland or watching England Cricket, Tennis, Rugby, and Golf. I also play football myself a few times a week. I am an avid music lover and I listen to all sorts from Rock ‘n’ Roll to Techno.
